KYLE OTT, M.D.
Dr. Kyle Ott joins Orthopedic Institute of Dayton. He is fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine upon base board certification in Family Medicine, specializing in non-operative management of athletic-related injuries/conditions, general musculoskeletal care from youth to aging adults, as well as care integration with Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Ott grew up in the Dayton area, imparting much sweat and blood in the local wrestling rooms and as a frequent patient at the region's hospital ORs. Despite accruing several injuries requiring surgical intervention, he culminated his High School wrestling career as a 3x State Champion (OH), State Tournament (OH) Most Outstanding Wrestler, HS National Champion, and 2x HS World Team Member (Great Britain, Poland).
Dr. Ott continued as a BIG TEN student-athlete for the University of Illinois, obtaining a B.S. degree in Kinesiology while becoming a 2x Division I NCAA Runner-Up as well as captaining the Fighting Illini Wrestling Team to a BIG TEN crown for the first time in the preceding 53 years.
Following two-years as an Assistant Wrestling Coach for the Mountaineers of West Virginia University, Dr. Ott returned to Dayton to earn his M.D. degree from Wright State University's School of Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine Residency through Wright State University / Dayton Community Hospitals, and Sports Medicine Fellowship with Kettering Sports Medicine.
In addition to office-based patient care, Dr. Ott has experience in team/event coverage ranging from youth through professional athletes. Proud of his roots, Dr. Ott is excited to continue his career where he calls home. Personally, he enjoys spending time with family, passing forward wrestling expertise to youth-collegiate grapplers, functional strength training, and the occasional chocolate-chip cookie.
Dr. Ott is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
He is accepting new patients at both the Dayton and Tipp City locations.
